Explore Tintagel
Set high on the rugged North Cornwall coast with dramatic sea views, away from the hustle and bustle of urban areas, and steeped in myths and mystery with the legend of King Arthur, it is truly a spectacular place

Tintagel is home to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle, one of their most popular sites, National Trust’s Tintagel Old Post Office, and King Arthur’s Great Halls of Chivalry.
Walking
The 5 mile circular walk
This walk takes in the cliffs just outside the village, then follows a series of tracks and lanes parallel to the coast before descending to the cove of Trebarwith Strand.
It then returns to Tintagel along the coast, passing the remnants of some historic quarries and then the magnificent.
Castle
A Cornish castle with links to the stories of King Arthur. Cross the spectacular new bridge to take in unforgettable views of the coastline and explore the history-rich headland. Walk among the castle ruins that still cling to the cliffs.
Beach
Relax on the beach below the castle – one of Tintagel’s best kept secrets – it’s perfect for a paddle, or to explore the rock pools. Please be aware that there is no lifeguard service on the beach.
People Watch
Want to just chill with a cold pint and great food whilst people watching, we have the perfect spot on one of our outdoor tables in the very heart of Tintagel.
